As I stated in my previous post the Trump administration moves forward with efforts to erase and rewrite our history, with the Smithsonian Museum being forced to comply with providing wall placards and other items for the administration’s approval as it imposes “content corrections” in order to comply and present “American exceptionalism” in all museum exhibits. My family had planned a year ago to go to DC, and it is with mixed feelings that we follow through with our upcoming visit. I don’t know what we will find when we travel there. I hold onto hope and promise in the language of my adult children not to allow Trump and his administration to “take away” their nation’s capitol or history.
